DENVER – Apprentice Personnel is opening its newest office in Denver, one of the hottest job markets in the nation.
“We see the Denver metro area as a growth opportunity for Apprentice Personnel, especially within the vibrant hospitality, construction and apartment markets, as well in administrative and clerical work,” said Steve Barone, general manager of the operation.
According to projections from the University of Colorado Boulder Leeds School of Business, Colorado is expected to be among the top five states for job growth in 2014.
The construction sector alone is expected to see an 8.7 percent increase in employment, with a net gain of 11,000 jobs.
“We’re lucky as a state to have a skilled workforce and a relatively low cost of doing business,” Barone said. “With the economy rebounding, we’re expecting solid growth in the year ahead.”
Through its network of offices in Colorado and Kansas, Apprentice Personnel places hundreds of people in work assignments every day.
Barone, a 16-year veteran of the staffing industry, will serve as general manager of the firm’s newest office.
Joining Barone is Renata Rotello, who was brought aboard as a recruiter for the office. Rotello formerly worked at global energy services company Sanjel USA, recruiting for positions in North Dakota, Montana and Wyoming.
Apprentice Personnel, which provides employees on a temporary basis to a host of sectors, is one of the largest independent staffing firms in Colorado and Kansas and has been in business for more than two decades. The company has locations in Colorado Springs, the Kansas City metro area and Wichita, Kan.
